Sixers Balls: Hinkie Loves His Rockets. Open Tryouts Begin…

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets act_tim_ohlbrecht

Hinkie keeps bringing in former Rockets. The latest is James Anderson and Tim Ohlbrecht , who were released by the Houston Rockets. The Sixers claimed them off waivers.

Anderson is a 6-foot-6, 215-pound shooting guard who will be entering his fourth NBA season in 2013-14. The 24-year-old was drafted 20th overall by the Spurs in the 2010 draft. He has played for the Spurs, in the D-League, and the Rockets. He played in 39 games for Houston last season and averaged 3.8 ppg and 1.8 rbg. Anderson was a big-time scorer for OklahomaState in College. Get excited people.

Tim Ohlbrecht is a 6-foot-11, 255-pound center. As a undrafted rookie last season he played in just three games for the Rockets. The 24-year-old is a native of Germany and played professionally in his homeland.  Hooray for the Deutschland! To be honest, I actually never heard of the guy.

The Sixers should just have open tryouts this year. Who wants in? This guy right here does…
