TurnBuckle: I’m The Miz and I’m……Coming back!!!

After being away from the WWE pretty much since WrestleMania the “AAWWEESSOOMMEE” one is due to make his return on this coming Monday Night RAW in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Yes,  you guessed it The Miz is being advertised for RAW.  The “AAEEWEESSOOMMEE” one took time off after losing to The Barrett Barrage the night after WrestleMania to film the movie Christmas Bounty.

With all these injuries going around this return can not come at a better time than now.  We all know The Miz can be that superstar to step into the spotlight and run with it as he has in the past.  I mean he might have to with Punk being out and not due to return for at least a few months and now Dolph Ziggler with a concussion.

Here is a little clip I’m guessing from the set of the movie Christmas Bounty.  Make sure you listen closely around the 10 second mark.  He says he farted!

TurnBuckle: The Latest on CM Punk

As we all know CM Punk was removed from all of the WWE live events. This absence is due to an injury suffered at WrestleMania29.  But now it is stated that he will not return until late summer at the earliest.

This I think is a huge hit for the company.  Punk brings a lot of
talent to the stage.  Whether it is his in ring ability or his mic presence.  Not to mention he  is obviously a fan favorite.

It was reported by PWInsider that there is no timetable for his return.  With him possibly not coming back until late summer it  is a longer break than I expected.  Yes, he had some injuries that needed assessed but obviously they were serious enough for him to be out of action until late summer.

So the question is, when CM Punk does make his return, where does he fit into the mix?  Well, with numerous reports of his opponent for WrestleMania30 in New Orleans being Stone Cold Steve Austin.  Does the WWE bring him back in time to start that feud.  That is if in fact Austin does compete at Mania.

Only time will tell.  Unfortunately we have a long time to sit and wait to see how this all will unfold.

TurnBuckle: What’s Punk been up to?

Have you been wondering what CM Punk has been doing with his time off from wrestling?  Well he attended the other nights first round of the NHL Playoffs in Chicago.  He tweeted this picture from his home town inside the United Center.

Damn, must be nice to watch your favorite hockey team in the playoffs in person let alone on t.v.  Can you sense the sarcasm beings I’m a Flyers fan!?

TurnBuckle: Injuries Post WrestleMania

First off I would like to apologize on behalf of  TurnBuckle.  I was away since last Tuesday in a place with no reception or Internet.  Well let’s be serious the locals didn’t have teeth either.  So I’m sorry for the lack of articles.

Now, with that out-of-the-way I have some injury updates that were sustained during Sunday’s WrestleMania in case you weren’t already aware.

During his match against Triple H within the first five minutes Brock Lesnar was knocked out from a knee that was delivered by the Cerebral Assassin.  Which brought us to last nights episode RAW where Paul Heyman stating that even though Brock got beat by Triple H it took him a long time to beat him after Lesnar getting knocked out.  We all know Heyman and his whole plan behind that was probably to hype up Broc’s name for his next feud which has been rumored to be with The Rock and it turns out it was also a true statement that he really was knocked out.

CM Punk was also injured Sunday in his match against The Undertaker which was said by many was the best match of the night.  It was reported that Punk injured his leg when he dropped and elbow on The Undertaker who was laying on the announce table.  He received X-ray’s that night and also reported to be getting an MRI of his leg as well.  This guy was pretty banged up already.  After a great match at Mania he deserves the rumored time off to heel his new wound and already ones prior received.

Another injury was sustained during the main event between John Cena vs The Rock.  Other than Brock’s possible concussion this injury might be the worse of the three.  The Rock suffered a torn abdominal muscle and a hernia.  After flying to his hometown Monday to get examined by doctors.  If was confirmed that the muscle was torn completely off his pelvis and may need surgery.  This is bad news for The Rock for it could push back filming for his new movie Hercules.

TurnBuckle: CM Punk May Have Been Injured on RAW

After interrupting a tribute to the late Paul Bearer who passed away a few days prior,  CM Punk was scheduled to a main event no DQ match against The Big Red Machine” Kane.  During the match Punk must have landed wrong resulting in an injury.  As the cameras went off the ring the referee signaled a “X” sign.  In the WWE this signals that someone could possibly have suffered a real injury.  A trainer came out to check out Punk.

In the end CM Punk ended up finishing the match which is a good sign.  If he was seriously injured, he and the WWE did a good job on not allowing the TV viewers to know anything was happening.

If he has suffered an injury the WWE doesn’t have much time to act and further access him.  CM Punk is booked to face The Undertaker at this year’s WrestleMania.

Though there is no official word on the injury and the seriousness of it yet.   I’m sure we can all agree that we hope it is not serious enough to prevent him from performing and being at WrestleMania.

So these next few days we will hopefully find out the status of this injury.

TurnBuckle Times: Rumored Appearances for the 20th Anniversary of RAW

With Monday being the 20th anniversary of RAW there have been a few talks of possible returns for the show. To name a few…Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and the group Evolution. Although these are some of the WWE’s biggest names of the past they are still only rumors. There is one more name that is also floating around that I think is bigger than any of these. That is none other than the “Texas Rattlesnake” himself Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It has been rumored that Stone Cold could possibly be in the mix for a Wrestle Mania push this year. This itself would be a huge ratings booster for the WWE. If this rumor is true what better way to make this push start on the anniversary show of RAW. But not only that it’s taking place in his home state of Texas.

Okay say he does make a return for a push for mania…Who would his opponent be? Well, there have been talks about it being CM Punk. Damn, that would be interesting. Me personally I like punk. He plays a great heel role for the company. And Stone Cold was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up. So as I look at it this would be epic. So using CM Punk’s “strait edge” beliefs against Stone Cold’s steveweiser drinking habits as we all are familiar with could play out to be a good angle for them to use. But that’s just my take.

So, with all that said don’t forget to tune in Monday for the 20th anniversary show of RAW!!! But before I “sign off” (sorry Dark Helmet I stole a line) I’ll leave you with one of my favorite moments from Stone Cold.
